So far, much discussion of Oscar, I will tell you about a picture «Welcome» (2009) French director Philippe Lioret (Philippe Lioret), which has no relation to the American Academy.

Simon (Vincent Lindon), a swimming coach at Calais, divorcing his wife that he still loves. In such difficult period of his life he met with Bilal (Firat Ayverdi) - 17-year old refugee from Iraq who takes his swimming lessons. Bilal covered by an insane idea to swim La Manche and get to London, where his favorite girl want to marry someone else. Coach dedication so impressed his pupil, which gradually attached to it.

«Welcome» - heartfelt story of love, affection, friendship, respect, dignity and affection. Despite an abundance of emotions, the plot is the social implication. Lioret shows how inadequate the law complicate people's lives, as fleeing from the war, they are in no less harsh environment in civilized France: a contemptuous attitude, police raids and denunciations.

Director offers no solutions. He just presents the facts and tries to interest the audience the fate of undocumented immigrants and refugees who sympathize with them and watch them not only through the prism of the criminal. Lioret tries to gently awaken the consciousness in people, open their eyes to reality, which can not be proud of you should be ashamed.

If Leaving aside the problem with illegal immigrants, a film by and large, a touching love, forcing to overcome the distance, show incredible tenacity and make real things.
