White Ribbon «Das weisse band»

film by Michael Haneke's "White Ribbon" leaves a bad aftertaste. The action takes place in 1913-1914. in northern Germany. Monotonous life of a Protestant village violates a series of unexplained accidents.

cruelty, violence, mainly psychological, and oppressive silence in black and white picture of Haneke creates uncomfortable atmosphere, but the director keeps his audience in suspense.

I would not want to be there, and live next door to fictional characters film director. For the first time I see a movie where bad guys more than positive.

in the film between the parents and children are so icy relationship that anger last even as no surprise. Most likely, the director wanted to show how fraught with hypocritical piety and unimaginable methods of raising children.

«White Ribbon" is similar to the old black and white photographs that captivate. But I did not understand, like the I picture or not. And I do not understand who in the end maniac? Or are there several? The director decided to play in the trendy movie with unsaid end. I am not against such stunts when the viewer to come up with their version of the ending. But not in this case. In the film, Haneke almost any of the characters can easily be called a murderer. They are all regards, except for narrator and his bride.

One thing is sure - the "Golden Palm" the jury at the Cannes Film Festival got excited.
